Edinburg’s $7.2 Million Investment to Strengthen Talent, Business Growth and Quality of Life Across Rio South Texas Region

Edinburg is taking an important step toward a more competitive Rio South Texas Region with a $7.2 million investment in a new Workforce Resource Center designed to connect talent, employers and economic opportunity.

Developed by the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation in partnership with the City of Edinburg, the center will bring workforce services together in one location, helping residents access career opportunities and training while giving local employers valuable support for recruitment and talent development.

The project, located at 300 W. Palm Dr. in Edinburg and expected to open in 2027, will strengthen the regional talent pipeline, support the growth of existing businesses and enhance Edinburg’s ability to attract new investment. Its impact will extend beyond the city by contributing to a more skilled, connected and business-ready workforce throughout Rio South Texas.

The investment also includes a new clubhouse for the Ebony Hills Golf Course, featuring four golf simulators, an expanded golf cart facility, improved parking and additional amenities.

Together, these projects unite economic development with quality-of-life improvements, two essential ingredients for attracting companies, retaining talent and supporting long-term regional prosperity.

Gerlach Builders and Raine Architects are participating in the development alongside the Edinburg City Council, the EEDC Board of Directors and community partners.
